Inconel|X-750 alloy has almost the same strength and hardness characteristics as 304 stainless steel, but can be used in environments up to 1000°. Inconel-750 alloy is a nickel-chromium alloy that is precipitation hardened by the addition of aluminum and titanium. It has good crack resistance at high temperatures, good corrosion and oxidation resistance, and a lower magnetic permeability than 304 stainless steel (<1.0G/o). Typical applications include gas turbines, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, pressure vessels, and various aircraft components that operate in high temperature environments.
